What is Airframe

Airframe is the aircraft body excluding it’s engine or power plant. It is equivalent to the autobody of a car. Airframe is a distinct field of aerospace or aeronautical engineering which involves a great deal of usage of concepts from material science, strength of materials, stress analysis and more.
